On the Road Again- A Long Haul Adventure
This morning I woke up early and rushed to rent my customer trailer. After successfully renting the trailer, I parked it, without having to park it, between two other trucks. After loading it, I made my way to mile 133 where I needed to add oil and load 35 thousand pounds of beans onto the truck. On the way there, I was delayed by an accident and got caught in heavy traffic, so I arrived at the warehouse later than expected. Fortunately, while waiting for the traffic to clear, I had time to stop at a truck store and buy some extra covers for the missing nuts on my trailer before heading out again.
Currently, I'm in the warehouse, ready to unload, and plan to buy fenders after the pickup in Pennsylvania, if time permits, before heading back to Miami.
The Never-EndingTrucking Journey
Today was an interesting day on the open road. I initially drove toward Pennsylvania, but caught a whiff of something that smelled like stoner smoke. So I had to move my truck to a safe place so I wouldn't get caught with illegal drugs. Luckily, I found a new parking spot and was able to continue my journey safely.
During the day, I drove about 120 miles until my truck broke down on Route 9. After getting it fixed, I finally reached my destination successfully - but found out that I had too much weight on board, according to my paperwork. Even though I wanted to keep filling my oil tanks after seeing how just under capacity they were, that would make me overweight with all axles combined according to this state's regulations for weights and dimensions of vehicles traveling with cargo on board. Even though today's mission was accomplished, it wasn't without its challenges!
A Road Trip Adventure- Stops Along the Way
Recently, I took a road trip to Florida. Along the way, I stopped at several rest stops, ate boiled eggs for breakfast, and tried a truffle-flavored snack bar that I highly recommend! The roads are very dangerous because of the flooding, so it's important to use the emergency signals properly when necessary. At the moment it's raining very hard and has been for quite some time. Despite the dangers on the roads, I'm really enjoying my trip so far. Here is an overview of my trip so far:.
At mile 69 in Florida, I took a break to continue my trip with the plan of arriving tonight or tomorrow morning. This was a good decision, as it has started raining harder again and Route 301 is already flooded. So far it has definitely been an adventure!
A Day of Trucking Surprises
This past week was a busy one. At the beginning of the week I picked up some things, including dirty clothes and towels. Then I decided not to make any stops on the way home to save time. This allowed me to arrive home later than planned and relax with my family before dinner.
After dinner, my son surprised us all by telling us about his recent training program. Then came another surprise - my daughter took her first steps! Before I say goodbye, I want to thank PWA users for creating the new content, which many people seem to like. After having a hectic week, it's nice to relax and unwind at home once in a while!
To Summarize
