Daniel's Truckin' Birthday Celebration
Today is my birthday and I'm treating myself to a cupcake in my truck. (Although honestly, I'm more looking forward to the smelly caffee waiting for me in Spain) Anyway, on this special day, I wanted to share a few of my truck driving adventures with you.
I'm on my way to Catalonia for the first time, passing through Mersille in France on the way. My company gave me a new truck, a base model without armrests and side mirrors, but with adaptive cruise control, AC, heated and cooled seats, and only 17,000 miles on the odometer so far. So far everything has gone smoothly - no accidents or problems - but I know that things can always change on a trip!
Today is also my birthday, so I'm going to treat myself to some cupcakes in my truck! Now that I've arrived in Spain, though, things are starting to get interesting. For example, I just drove by restaurant thru and they have great roads! As you can see from the photos below (which I took while driving), they're beautiful!
I'm now stopping at a Truck stops for a 30 minute break before heading back out on the road. Spain seems very peaceful as I make my way along. I may even see Sandy Beaches from Movies Trucker check-ins when he gets home! Stay tuned for more updates later this week as we head to Catalonia for some real trucking adventures!
The Splendor of a Milano-to-Catalonia Odyssey
I recently took a road trip from Italy to Catalonia and back, and I loved every minute of it. Not only did I see some incredible scenery, but I also met some really interesting people. One of the highlights of my trip was driving through an interesting truck stop in Marseille.
The roads in Catalonia were beautiful, but there wasn't much traffic on Interstate 70. So I was able to drive at a leisurely pace and take in all the sights and sounds of the trip. I met some nice people who made me think about maybe moving here. Collecting miles was difficult because I had no mirrors and had to wait for unloading and loading times, but it was worth it because I had great experiences along the way.
The empty ride back was really boring because there was no one around to radio or do anything else, but all in all it was a great experience that added to my appreciation for the people I met, the beauty of nature, and the overall adventure.
Highway Haul- Adaptive Cruising, Spinned Wheels, and Tablet Mounts
It's been a while since we've posted here, but that doesn't mean there haven't been plenty of trucks on the road! I recently purchased a Grip All In One tablet holder. This holder is great quality and has helped me stay connected on the road. I also purchased a smartphone holder for seven dollars at a rest stop in the south of France, which has come in handy. On the way to La hanquera, we just passed through Monaco and many people have asked if carrying concealed weapons in trucks is allowed. So far the answers are split 50/50, with half saying yes and half saying no. So it's unclear whether or not there is actually an official law against it.
We haven't used the adaptive cruise control yet (it takes some getting used to), but we're using the conventional cruise control, which seems to be working fine so far. Finally, we're having a lot of fun highway hauling with Daniel's Truckin'. Highway hauling can be a bit intimidating at first, but with proper preparation and planning, it can become an enjoyable experience.
Adaptive Lights, Safety Mirrors and an Epic Journey- A Truck Driver's Story
It's been a long journey, but I've finally arrived home safe and sound! In this section, we take a look at the adaptive lights and safety mirrors I installed on my eighteen-wheeled vehicle, as well as the trip itself.
The journey began in Catalonia in the Zona Franca, where I loaded my truck with cargo and headed to Milan. From there I continued to VIenna in Austria before finally arriving in southern Poland. On the way, I passed a family who asked me to honk the horn - they were very pleased! The blind spot mirrors I put on the side of my truck were incredibly helpful when turning or changing lanes.
All in all, the trip took six days and was full of excitement and adventure. Now that I'm back home, it's time to rest up before preparing for another trip - this time maybe somewhere in Germany or the Benelux countries! If you want to learn more about adaptive lights or safety mirrors, you can find more videos here. Thanks again for following me!
Final Thoughts
Daniel's trucker birthday odyssey was the adventure of a lifetime and a great way to celebrate his birthday. Along the way, Daniel learned the importance of safety and preparedness, and the importance of adaptive lights, safety mirrors, concealed weapons, tablet mounts, and adaptive cruise control for any truck driver. We hope this blog post has inspired you to take your own journey in your own vehicle and enjoy all that life has to offer!
